Easy Bay Panthers To Host 2nd Annual Girls Basketball
Tournament April 16 and 17, 2005
The East Bay Panthers Basketball Club will host girls teams
from across Northern California at its popular Amateur Athletic
Union (AAU) sanctioned tournament for 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U age groups
in Pleasanton, and San Ramon, California, on April 16 and 17, 2005.
Lafayette, CA, April 11, 2005 -- The East Bay Panthers Basketball
Club announced today that it will hold its 2nd annual girls Amateur
Athletic Union (AAU) sanctioned basketball tournament on Saturday
April 16 and Sunday April 17 in Pleasanton and San Ramon, California.
Teams will travel from as far away as Napa, Watsonville and Stockton
for this popular tournament.
Participating teams include the Delta Valley Lady Raiders, East
Bay Panthers, the East County Heat, the Napa Renegades, the Stockton
Mavericks, Team Synergy, the Tracy Storm, the Tri Valley Elite,
the Tri Valley Wildcats, the Vacaville Vengeance and the Watsonville
Flames.
"The young athletes who play in the East Bay Panthers Tournament
have a true passion for competitive basketball," said David
Smith, Club Director of the East Bay Panthers. "The games are
a lot of fun and are great to watch because the girls who play at
this level demonstrate a superior level skill and real commitment
to their chosen sport of basketball."
Under-11 and 12 teams will play at Pleasanton Middle School. Under-13
and 14s teams will play at the Iron Horse Community Gym in San Ramon
on Saturday, April 16, and at Amador Valley High School on Sunday,
April 17. Pleasanton Middle School is located at 5001 Case Avenue
in Pleasanton, CA. Amador Valley High School is located at 1155
Santa Rita Road in Pleasanton, CA. The Iron Horse Gym is located
at 12701 Alcosta Blvd in San Ramon, CA. Game details and updates

Tickets available at door. Daily admission costs $5 for adults
and $3 for children over 5 years of age. Proceeds fund the event
and the East Bay Panthers Basketball Club, a non-profit charitable
organization.

The girls of the East Bay Panthers Basketball Club have a passion
for the game, they want a challenge in their athletic endeavors,
and desire to succeed at the sport. The club provides qualified
girls aged 10 through 14 with professional quality instruction and
competitive game experience in preparation for middle school, high
school and higher-level basketball. Team members come from Concord,
Danville, Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda, Pleasant Hill, Pleasanton,
San Ramon, Walnut Creek and other cities east of San Francisco bay.
Tournaments are played March through June in the Bay Area, Northern
California and beyond. Formed in 2001 as a non-profit charitable
